I can't believe we're so close to the day, and getting even closer. Today I feel like getting a little serious. This has been the hardest year of my life. I know, as fact, that this would have been so much harder had it not been for Megan. She supports me completely and without question. After the death of my brother, Johnny, Megan stepped up and helped me get to the other side in one piece.  She worked tirelessly to make sure that I had what I needed and then did the same for my brother and mother. Whenever the subject of the wedding comes up, someone invariably asks if I'm nervous. I don't even blink an eye when I say, "no, not for one second." She's an incredible person, and I'm incredibly fortunate to be in this position.  There is no one who could fit me better than the way she does.  There is no one who could better help me to grow in the way she does. There is no one that can make me laugh the way she does. There is no one who can open my heart the way she does. I don't need to spend the rest of my life with her, but I want to. I want to enjoy her, love her, laugh with her, and work hard to give to her as good as I get from her. This wedding may not be perfect, but I know that the marriage will be.

Okay, so I just found these and I want them all. Lego Star Wars cuff links!. I'm blown away.

So these are the storm troopers in tuxes.  I'm particularly enjoying the middle one with the white jacket.  The bottom looks kinda like a storm waiter.


There are also some Darth Vader ones that I enjoy cause he's the boss, but there's something about the storm trooper helmet that makes me happy.

I'm not sure why I don't really like it. Maybe his head is too big or maybe they need the cape. Man the cape would really sell the look. 

I wish there was a way for the people to weigh in on this. If there's comments, then comment. Tell me what you think.

Russian Wedding Pictures

In my travels on the internet I have stumbled across something that I think is wonderful. There is a collection of very strange wedding photos that have been photoshopped.  I can't tell if these are serious or not though.  There is something about it being Russian that makes me think they are completely real and that might just be my cold war judgement.

This is awesome. She is like an angel flying through the clouds while he is on the ground waiting for her to swoop into his arms.  She may also be flying away and he's pleading for her to come back to him.

Theres is a creepy trend among these pictures where one of the partners is made tiny and subject to the will of the larger.  In this case she is a delicate angel that he holds with care.  He also looks like it is low tide and the smell is getting to him. She could also be smelly, cause delicate holding is also how you treat a full diaper. He is holding her pretty far from his face.

These two are also in the tiny person is in big trouble category.  In the top picture, she looks like she is forcing him to climb into her shoe.  He struggles to please her while she laughs at how tiny and ineffective his technique is.  For some reason he has to use the heel when he could probably just walk up the front, probably because now that they are married he if finding out how sadistic she can be. The second picture is just evil. She is a giant black widow who marries and then crushes her tiny husbands.  She is just full of giggles to be aligatoring her husband to death. 

These last two are better than the others, but only because they are at least nice even though they are cheesy as all get out.  I'm sure that tiny bride and groom are about to drunk down in one gulp by another more sadistic marrying couple, but they at least are dying together and at peace with it.  They aren't torturing each other first and then feeding one to a giant. This is probably part of some crazy Russian bureaucrat's elaborate and excessive wedding with the people's money and his former model/escort wife will only drink champagne that has been lawfully wedded. The second picture is just sappy in the worst sort of mall photo booth way.  I just hope they didn't have to pay for it and that this took place in 1994.

I don't know much about photography and even less about wedding photos.  I'm guessing this isn't typical in America, but may be all the rage in Eastern Europe.  But now I'm torn.  Having perused a good selection of these photos; I don't know if I want at least one or for the whole album to be like this. I'm kidding about the album, but it might be hilarious to get a cheeztastic photo like one of these. I just don't think Megan could ever get on board.

Save The Date

Nice so we finally have the save the date set and we are sending them out. You probably only know about this website because you received one... Or you're a weirdo that searches for and reads random wedding websites. If that's you then that's cool. I'm not going to upset you because you know exactly where I will be on august 27th and I've conveniently given you directions.

For the rest of you. Welcome! I'm so excited that you get to share this wonderful day with us. This is going to be so much fun. I hope you all can make it to the Hammond Museum. It's so beautiful. There's a little lily pond and a bamboo grove. It's incredible and so serene.

Wedding Cake

Okay, so in my research on wedding stuff I came across the cake of my DREAMS!!!

So I know you're thinking that Megan would never go for this. You all probably know that I'm a game enthusiast and that Megan gets angry near any kind of game. Super Mario Bros and Tetris are the only video games that Megan will play and she LOVES them. I'm thinking that since this exists, it's not so crazy to make it happen. I'll just have to start selling now.

Website Update Day

Wowza. It's been some time since I've worked on this stuff.  Just got over a wicked illness and now I'm ready to get back to some wedding planning.  Today I decided to update the website, so now it is actually a real thing and not just a joke.  I had those cute puggles on the main page and apparently Megan doesn't like being a little brown smoosh faced pup, so I had to swap it with a pic of us. I'm still leaving it up on the blog though cause it's soooo cute. That's about it. I'm still a little shot from being sick, so I'm gonna head to bed. Tomorrow should be a good day to continue the wedding quest. Night all.

Day One of the Wedding Blog

This is it. March 21st is the day that I start blogging about my wedding. I really should be spending my time doing just about anything else because we are WAY behind on everything. Since this is the first post I have to try just about everything, so bear with me folks.
